Nothing like dumbing-down and butchering a classic novel...indeed a classic Jules Verne film...to make a buck off suburban dumbasses this summer. Your "stimulus" checks at work. Of course, this will prompt the choice for my RAFBN week 5...
OK, so they should have called this "Journey to the Center of the Earth with Brenden Fraser and a bunch of KIds". Dumbed-down indeed. Reading the novel would be way cooler.

Still, it might be good to take my sons to this. Decades ago my mother took my brother to see 20000 Leagues Under the Sea by Disney so I suppose there is precedent for making these for "kids," but I will admit that the dumbing-down quotient is a recent factor, OK?
