Friday Funnies--the stupid shall rule

From the White House to Hollywood to your next door neighbors, so it goes. By the way, this applies to black folk and Hispanics, too. Oh hell yeah.

Oh my -- this is coming to fruition! Smart folks, let's start having some children. At least adopt and stop the inevitable downhill idiocy that seems to be looming!

Idiocracy was a very funny movie and a little bit too true.

The thing is, I know plenty of 'smart people' with degrees (multiple degrees even) who do a shitty job raising their children, abd have one or two overindulged trolls for children, or they don't raise them at all and hire that Black or Hispanic nanny to do the job for them. Then I know people who only have a high school diploma who raise excellent human beings, manage to instill values in them and raise decent human beings.

Here is the thing, there is NO PERFECT TIME to have a child. There will never be enough money, the market will never be just right....hopefully, you will reproduce with someone that wants to love and raise a decent human being as much as you do, and you take it one day at a time.

Just ask all the 40 something people out there who waited until the perfect time and now have to spend THOUSANDS of dollars to have a baby....bet if they could do things over again, they would not have waited for perfection....there is no such thing....

Hey, no one said having a degree make you smart. It might give you an edge in getting a job. An advanced degree is even better. But if you have a high school diploma and are a smart person you can create something for yourself. I think the point of this movie is that our society as a whole is putting out images and messages that quite a few people perpetuate. They think it is Ok to act like Flava Flav or some of these other fools on tevelision. They don't read or learn how to speak proper English or become productive members of society. The movie is a bit extreme, but it is a message about the fact that if we don't try to raise our kids with intelligence and values, we might end up with something close to what this movie portrays.
