Can we stop with Britney and Paris and Kim K now?

We are shoveled "news" about these sluts/whores...and yet one of the best young actors of our time slips away, and we don't why. My nephew was looking forward to The Dark Knight (Batman this Memorial Day). He was intrigued by the new Joker. Now my sister has to explain this...

Sad. RIP Heath.

I am not a true celebrity watcher, but I do have my favorites. Heath was a really good actor, and I am looking forward to seeing his performance in the Dark Knight. But even when reporting his death E! jumped straight to Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian at Sundance, as if they have anything to do with independent, creative films being showcased there.

P.S. I've loved his work, especially Brokeback Mountain, and it is terrible what happened, whether an accident something more troubling. I feel for his poor little daughter.

I don't know much about his work, except for the upcoming Batman movie, which looked good, this is depressing. Another good actor is ignored while the news focuses on the talentless

Heath was one of my favorite actors. I have followed his career since seeing him in a small film entitled, "Two Hands". I mourn his passing, I feel for his family but my heart breaks for his daughter Matilda.

This is truly a tragedy.

I was at a lunch with my bosses when one of her acting clients called and said Heath was dead. We were floored. I still don't believe it.

Very talented man. His daughter is only two years old. Sad.

I can go the rest of this year without mentioning Britney, Paris or Kim K. Can you?

Britney, Paris and Kim give nothing back to this world. Just by acting in good stories this man showed that his soul was deep and he cared about the stories he told. Indeed, like a good author, a good journalist, a musician. Those who do good works and make us feel something, are giving something back that is precious indeed. RIP, Heath!

Really? I have only seen this young man in one movie, but I didn't know he was like that?

I was so sad about this. He was such a great actor and seemed like a good guy as well.

You make a great point. We do treat women with issues much more harshly than we treat men. It's very sad to see this happen.
