Ravens, Redskins...

Both lost. I'm proud of one team. Disgusted with the other. Can you guess which? Details here at ESPN.

Skins suck. No question.

I've just gotta say, it's a good year to be a Steelers' fan. :)

The Ravens are not quite there. A true championship team would have stopped the Steelers in the waning moments of that game, leaving nothing to chance.

In all seriousness, as a Steeler fan, I really respect the Ravens. I think Flacco's the real deal. He just needs a better wide receiver option than Mason to open up the field. Heap can't do everything.

Lewis and Pryce are a little long in the tooth. But if they find suitable replacements for them, I think next season or the one after, the Ravens are seriously looking at a Super Bowl run.

The Skins on the other hand ... I think all their problems begin and end with Snyder. He needs to sell the team so we can have decent football back in DC.

Gotta agree with boukman70. The problem in DC is the front office. Daniel Snyder simply sucks. Even the middle of the road Washington Post today called for his ouster. His experiment in ownership has failed. What the team now needs is a football person, not a business person.

Folks, football IS a business. It's the most "corporate" of sports. That's why people like Snyder are in control, and fans are willingly paying $5K for the privilege of spending an additional $20K on season tickets. There's no difference b/w Jerry Jones and Snyder. They are both scum in my mind. Jones's team is better. So? Let's not confuse the symptoms with the disease. The disease is that the only people who control enough $$$ to buy and run an NFL team without the oversight of stockholders, a board, some regulatory body etc are meglomaniacs like Sndyer.
