I've said it on other blogs, right and left, redneck or black revolutionary. You ain't "better" than the so-called "main stream media" (as if that term means anything other than whatever negative nonsense the writer wants to characterize). You deal in "soap opera," overly personal/provocative situations and statements, not real issues. Not helping us make a better community, nation, world for EVERYBODY.
I have a solution, and I think it'll be cathartic. Once done, we can move on to McCain, to real issues.
Ready?

i agree, i got a post i wrote o mccai this weekend but saving it
Are you declaring war even on "friendly" political bloggers? I think they are just reflecting what people want to talk about, not vice-versa, but I understand your point.
I saw this on MadTV after Christmas. I'm glad it's making a comeback! That show is funnier than SNL.
Nicole Parker is funnier than all of those women including Amy Pohler on SNL. Her hungover whitegirl Powerpoint routine is a classic that people in my office still talk about. NBC should have asked Maya Rudolph and Rachel Dratch to stay. The onlyreason the others are there is simple--they get fed into those Seth Rogen movies. Mad TV has 3 black cast members on Mad TV all of whom are superior to the morons on SNL. A white man has to play Obama on SNL? Please.
Scandalous. You are gleefully evil, aren't you? (smile)
I hate you. I have to finish my Maryland tax form and I am laughing too hard!
ROTFLMAO!!!
LOL!!! You're demented Chris....and I love it.
This is disgusting. I'm serious.
"Lisa" above doesn't have the "whole" view. I agree with you on this count. The cable networks and blogs, more so than the newspapers and magazines, have to keep short-attention span audiences hooked, and the only way to do it is by spinning these "non-issues" repeatedly. Perhaps this bears out Obama's words? I am a Clinton supporter a volunteer but I am objective enough to see everyone's viewpoint; I think perhaps some of what Obama said is true but it pertains to all of us. We are averse to the "truth" and to indepth intelligent analysis of real and often troubling issues.
However the type of coverage thus far is theater and we love theater. That is why your nemesis Fox News is so popular.
The interesting issue is for bloggers. Political blogs were supposed to be a mix of the peoples' views and real analysis and they are no better than gossip, or stirring up and rehashing this "soap opera" as you imply. I expect this from cable news but I am troubled by it on the Web.
I hope I've mimicked your position well (smile)!
Happy Tax Day
