Upcoming interviews

Peter Schimdt, author of Color and Money: How Rich White Kids are Winning the War over Affirmative Action. Nathan McCall's Them, and Stacey Patton's memoir of foster care hell, That Mean old Yesterday.
Happy Cristobal Colombo Day. If he'd run into the Caribs rather than the Aarawaks, well...

The Vikings got here first, but they didn't seem to jack up the land, get crazy with the native populations, or try to bring slaves?

I was recently at the bookfestival in PG Co. and you did a wonderful job! I was wondering if you could do a forum between actress Victoria Rowell and Stacy Patton, because here are two African American who are so very different and have so very different experiences with foster care and being adopted.

OMG! For those of you living in the Washington, DC area you must attend the next Capital Bookfest in PG county. This past weekend, I too caught some of the interviews that Mr. Chambers facilitated -- and Chris you were very good. Not only that, this is the one festival that I have been to where you can get up close and personal with the authors and there is something for everyone. I think I spent all my money that day on some wonderful reads. Most notably Alec Klein's new book about Stuyvesant High School (he was great) and Victoria Rowell memoir (she was also wonderful). Nabila, I agree with you. I would love to see discussion between Victoria and Stacy Patton. They had two totally different experiences. Also, I had the opportunity to read the galley copy of "Them" by Nate McCall. It was very good. Keep up the good work Chambers!

Folks, I caught two of Christopher's interviews this weekend at the Bookfest and he was great! Chris, despite some of your extreme views on this site, I think you are going to be very successful. This is a great blog, and your upcoming projects look very good. i wish you the best and I look forward to reading your new works.

What? You know about the Caribs and the Arawaks; now I am impressed.
